Service Description: This map service provides access to standardized fish sampling units created by the USGS, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center for performing fish monitoring along the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. The fish sampling units were dervied from an 8,000 cubic feet per second (CFS) shoreline that was extracted from a digital imagery dataset collected in 2009 by GCMRC. This shoreline was then split into 250-meter units on both river right and river left banks of the Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam, near Page, Arizona and the headwaters of Lake Mead near Pearce Ferry, Arizona.
