Service Description: The Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC) of the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) acquired airborne multispectral high-resolution data for the Colorado River in Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. The imagery was acquired between May 25 and June 1, 2013 at altitudes of 8,000 ft to 11,000 using Leica ADS80/82 digital push-broom multi-spectral sensor. The imagery data consist of four bands (blue, green, red and near infrared) with a ground resolution of 20 centimeters (cm). Similarly, the image service contains 4-band data and may require the user to select the proper band combinations in order to view the data properly. Suggested band combinations include True-Color (or RGB) by assigning image bands 3, 2, 1 to the Red, Green, Blue color guns, respectively. Color infrared (CIR) can be viewed by change the band combination to 4, 3, 2 assigned to the Red, Green, Blue color guns, again respectively.
